Katherine’s 3rd Birthday

Katherine is 3 years old! That is so unbelievable to me. She gets mad whenever I call her my baby and informs me she is NOT a baby but a girl. I can’t help it though, she will always be my baby! We did a family party this year and Kate had a blast.

Kate really wanted cupcakes for her birthday, but she wanted to actually help make them and ice them. Since it’s her birthday I thought that was an excellent plan. Instead of ordering a cake (like I usually do) or making something fancy, Kate helped me mix the batter, separate it into different bowls, add food coloring, stir, and ice the cupcakes. I think it was the highlight of her day and she loved the “rainbow” effect.

I think Abby had fun too :)

It was a fun day. Katherine is at the age where everything is exciting. She also loved that people came to her party and brought her presents!

Double Take

I was looking through some pictures of Abby when I realized some of them reminded me of pictures of Kate. I looked back at Kate’s pictures and sure enough they looked quite similar. The girls were both about 8.5 months old when I took these. Apparently the window is a favorite place Smile

Some TN Fam

Every Christmas, all my relatives in TN get together Christmas night. It’s so much fun; we catch up, eat food, and do a form of white elephant. We didn’t take any pictures at the actual party which I MUST do next time! I really wish we had more since we barley got pictures of anyone, but luckily we got video of the group at Jeanie’s house.

Working on a very complicated toy :)

*We drove all the way to TN with a car filled with 5 adults, an almost 3 yr old, and a 9 month baby without stopping once! That’s right, read it again. Then driving back even with a bunch of traffic and a much longer ride we only stopped once for 5 minutes so Kate could use the potty. Kate and Abby did awesome on the car ride. Jennifer deserves a lot of credit for entertaining Abby on the ride back, especially the last hour.

Christmas Morning

Christmas was amazing with our two little girls. They really made this such a wonderful holiday!

Cookies for Santa

Kate loved decorating the cookies. She was so patient about not eating them and worked really hard on her decorations. The next morning the first thing she asked was if Santa ate her cookies. We ran down to check and of course he ate all but one and even left some crumbs :)
