Easter

Easter was a busy weekend. Saturday we went to St. Ives for the annual Easter festivities.  The girls had a lot of fun. I think the face painting was their favorite part. Abby decided she wanted a Tiger and would roar at everyone after her face was painted :) Kate picked a butterfly again. They really enjoyed holding the chicks and bunny rabbits. The goats were fun at first but then made the girls nervous because the goats kept trying to nibble on their shirts. A goat actually ate my necklace; guess they really do eat everything! After eating some lunch we got ready for the egg hunt. Kate is now with older kids, and last year showed she's not quite aggressive enough for this group. The same thing happened again and she didn't get any eggs. However, Abby was the oldest in her group so she had no trouble getting any eggs. She even got extra ones for Kate, since Kate was upset over her lack of eggs. Sweet sisters! Liam did really well being strolled around. I think he liked looking at everything and being held by Grandma!

Sunday we went to church; it was a wonderful service with lots of music, then we went straight to my parents. We did another egg hunt at their house. It was wet outside so I hid the eggs in the basement. This hunt was a lot more enjoyable for Kate!

Dying Easter Eggs

Abby loved riding the ponies. She would get so serious while on the pony that the owner worried she wasn't having fun. As soon as they were done she begged to ride again!

Kate really wanted to ride a pony but was very nervous. She liked the white one and I'm proud of her for trying even though she was scared.

Liam's 1st Birthday

My baby is one! I had surgery a couple of days before Liam's birthday but this was such a special day I was not going to let that stop us from celebrating. We did a small party with my parents and Ty and Dana. Liam still doesn't love crowds or anyone other than us so he had a fun day, except when too much attention was on him. We are so blessed to have Liam. He really made our family complete and perfect. I consider him our miracle baby and he has brought so much joy to our family. We love him so much!

Liam at 1:
He is still the most cuddly baby
Loves to give hugs and will stop playing, crawl over, hug me, then return to playing
He pats you on the back when giving hugs
He says Mama, Dada, ball, bottle, bye bye, thank you(!), bath...
He takes a few steps unassisted
Likes to be with Mommy and Daddy - having some serious separation anxiety
Only takes a bottle in the morning and is about over that, drinks almond milk instead of formula
Sleeps almost 12 hours a night and takes 2 naps during the day
Loves being outside: crawling in dirt, going for walks, anything outside...
Puts objects back into their containers

Stats:
Height - 29.5 inches
Weight - 21lbs 7oz
Head - 18.25 inches

Abby's 3

Abby has been telling people she's 3 for a while so now it's finally legit! The other day I was looking at her and realized she was starting to look more like a kid and less like a toddler. I'm sad she's growing up so fast but she is so much fun that it gets better every year! Abby is such a smart 3 year old and we love hearing her use words like humongous or considerate. She is really good at problem solving and when listening to conversations always offers the most obvious solution. She loves playing pretend, especially with Kate or me, and has a wonderful imagination. She is still very lovable and just the sweetest little girl!

Abby loves Mickey and Minnie Mouse so it was obvious what cake and theme to have for her party. The day started with balloons on her door; which she loved and had been looking forward to all week. She then got to open her presents from MeeMaw and PawPaw. We did a party at home and had my parents and our neighbors come over. I think she had a really fun day.
