Easter was a busy weekend. Saturday we went to St. Ives for the annual Easter festivities. The girls had a lot of fun. I think the face painting was their favorite part. Abby decided she wanted a Tiger and would roar at everyone after her face was painted :) Kate picked a butterfly again. They really enjoyed holding the chicks and bunny rabbits. The goats were fun at first but then made the girls nervous because the goats kept trying to nibble on their shirts. A goat actually ate my necklace; guess they really do eat everything! After eating some lunch we got ready for the egg hunt. Kate is now with older kids, and last year showed she's not quite aggressive enough for this group. The same thing happened again and she didn't get any eggs. However, Abby was the oldest in her group so she had no trouble getting any eggs. She even got extra ones for Kate, since Kate was upset over her lack of eggs. Sweet sisters! Liam did really well being strolled around. I think he liked looking at everything and being held by Grandma!
Sunday we went to church; it was a wonderful service with lots of music, then we went straight to my parents. We did another egg hunt at their house. It was wet outside so I hid the eggs in the basement. This hunt was a lot more enjoyable for Kate!
Dying Easter Eggs
Abby loved riding the ponies. She would get so serious while on the pony that the owner worried she wasn't having fun. As soon as they were done she begged to ride again!
Kate really wanted to ride a pony but was very nervous. She liked the white one and I'm proud of her for trying even though she was scared.
